Upfront costs

GES explains placement, insurance, bond, medical, MOM processing and arrival-related costs before confirmation.

Monthly costs

Salary depends on experience and job scope. The MDW levy depends on your household eligibility.

Cashflow support

Eligible PayLater options.

Where available, PayLater can apply to selected GES service-fee components, subject to provider approval.

How long does the helper placement process take?+

It depends on whether the helper is a transfer, Ex-Singapore candidate or overseas candidate. GES will explain the expected timeline before you proceed.

How much does it cost to hire a helper?+

You should consider both upfront placement-related costs and monthly recurring costs such as salary and levy. GES can prepare a clearer estimate based on your household needs before you confirm.

Can I interview the helper before confirming?+

Yes. Interviewing helps you assess communication, attitude, experience and whether the helper understands your household routine.

What happens if the helper is not suitable?+

GES will explain the replacement support terms clearly before confirmation so you know what to expect during the initial adjustment period.

What is the monthly MDW levy?+

MOM’s published MDW levy rates are S$300 for the first helper, S$450 for subsequent helpers and S$60 for concessionary levy if eligible.
